May 3rd, 2018- Christ is the Light of the world & you are the light of the world
- Darkness is not an indication that there is no light
-Heleman 5:40-43
- Satan will do everything he can do to put a shadow in your life- overshadow you
- 3 Nephi 28:23- “Converted unto the Lord… & united unto the church”
- Not converted to the church, but to the Lord.
- Not “I want you to come to church, but to the knowledge of the church”
-Levels of testimony
- Not all on or all off like a switch , instead it’s like a dimmer switch.
- Levels:
- I know (up & down)
- I believe
- I desire to believe
- I wonder
- I doubt
- I don’t believe
- Make a list of what you know… How do you know?
- Don’t discontinue God
- Look for light in the dark
- Read The Book of Mormon carefully & prayerfully
- “Give the Lord equal time”
- Cannot flirt with skepticism or cynicism
-Hold on to the power you already have. “Continue in God”
- Others struggling too- send your light to the grid
- I don’t know everything, but I know what I know.

-Learn from your experiences
- Mistakes can increase your resilience. Bounce back!
- Don’t blame yourself for something that was out of your control & don’t blame God
- Sometimes we set limitations onourselves
- Hymn 131- More Holiness Give Me -Study the words in this hymn
- Be more aware so I can be more grateful
- Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal
-Alone one night- go out & look up at the stars & ask…
- Do you know me?
- Do you love me?
- Am I doing ok?
- Listen and write down things you feel.

-Don’t compare yourself with others
- There are somethings that have happened because I sinned
-1 Peter 4:8- Charity.
- “For charity preventeth a multitude of sins” – Joseph Smith
- Know the no matter what, the Savior & Heavenly Father love you. Trust in the Lord
-Pray about your concerns, fear, weaknesses, then listen & record your thoughts
- Grow into personal revelation
-Increase your spiritual power to receive revelation
- The Lord will warn you if you are about to make a big mistake- Listen to the Holy Ghost

-To continue is what counts
- Don’t give up
- Afraid of fear keeps us from trying things
- Deal with failure, don’t avoid it
- Failure is a teacher- becomes first step to ultimate success
- You can fail your way to success
- Not failure, but low aim is the greatest sin
- If you compare your weakness to someone’s strength, it’s on unequal ground. Not fair.
- If you really live, you’re going to make some mistakes
- Child learning to walk- lots of falling down & getting back up
- Don’t compare- contribute to feelings of failure
Relief Society Presidency-
-Watch over one another
- The Lord will strengthen you & give you power to do what you need
-Ministering= Listening
-Offering comfort is one of the most Christlike acts one can do
- “What is one thing good you want me to do today”- Ask the Lord
- Know that you did the best you could
-“How creative the spirit can be”
- Access the power of heaven
- D&C 64:29-30
To do: Hangout with Sarah & talk about life
-Cherish eachother’s gifts
- We’re siblings- put our arms around
- Came to this earth to experience life & understand & have mercy & love
- We experience hard things in life so that we can understand, learn and grow & have mercy on others who are going through similar trials& struggles
